It's official, fall is here! Pumpkins, apple cider and candy corn galore. We couldn't be more excited for the scents, colors and flavors of fall, but how do we enjoy it all toxin free? While there are some things we can't avoid (so much candy!), there are a few things we can be mindful of to stay healthy during this wonderful season.
This month we're talking about cooking yummy things and filling the air with wonderful scents, with the benefits from our Young Living essential oils!
This season think "oils first"!
- When cooking or baking yummy fall dishes, think of an essential oil you could use to add that special touch.
-Instead of buying that fall scented candle, try a new diffuser recipe with favorites like ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon bark, and orange.
-Get your home ready and clean for guests with Thieves cleaner. We love it's immune supporting properties and it smells like the Christmas season!
Did you know?
Not sure where to start with adding essential oils into your cooking recipes? Take some time to look through the Healthy Cooking section in YL's product list where you'll find a list of EO's you can incorporate into the kitchen! And be sure to read our "Myrrhmaid Eats" blog posts every month for yummy recipes.
YL's Healthy Cooking cookbook Vol.2 is also available if you're looking for something more. While you're at it, pick up some waffle/pancake mix and Yacon syrup! Talk about a delicious family breakfast, yum!
Here the curator of "Myrrhmaid Eats" shares her story!
"I've been an avid baker for several years now and have really enjoyed tweaking and making my own recipes. When I first started in my essential oil journey, it didn't really dawn on me immediately to use eo's in my food, until Kate called me up one day wanting me to be a recipe developer for our Myrrhmaids. Hello! YES! Looking back, it only makes sense. Young Living's oils are by far the highest quality on the market which makes most of them completely safe to ingest. The more I began to look at my recipes and others I had bookmarked, I saw a trend. There are so many spices that I can simply replace with my eo's that I have on hand so why wouldn't I choose to do that? And now here I am, going on a year of recipe developing, tasting and loving it. Each month I have a new recipe up on the Mrryhmaids blog so be on the lookout. Hoping to keep all of your bellies full and happy through Myyrhmaid Eats!"
Try Something New
Here are some other fun YL products to try that have that "fall feeling" touch!
-Orange Blossom facial wash ($41 whls)
This face wash is a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser that removes dirt and makeup without removing your skins natural protective oils. It's foamy and leaves your skin feeling oh so soft! And we love that orange blossom scent that lasts all day long.
-Cinnamint Lip Balm ($4.25 whls)
Keep your lips moisturized and protected from the elements with this botanical-rich, "season-scented" lip balm. Makes for great gifts too!
-Northern Lights Black Spruce ($28.75)
We love new YL products, and this one came just in time. Diffuse this rich, woodsy, and invigorating scent to create a fresh aromatic atmosphere. It is also the key component to our favorite blends like Valor II, Peace & Calming II, Shutran and Light the Fire.

A tip for you
This month Young Living is giving away the Home diffuser as part of their monthly rewards. How awesome is that!? Which got us thinking, do you have an extra diffuser? While it's nice to have one in every room (we can have goals!), it's even better to have an extra diffuser on hand to lend to a friend. What better way to share your EO's with a friend? Lending out a diffuser for the weekend, or to a new mom, is a great way spread the oily-love.
