Valentine's Month! A wonderful month of seeing all the red! And for me, that means drinking all the NingXia Red. I love NingXia Red so very much and drink 1-2 oz daily to support my immune system, help with energy levels, and grab a week's worth of fruits and veggies. What else do you eat or drink where it can boasts those 3 facts?! Myself, my husband, our 17 month old and 3 1/2 year old love this powerful drink so much. And I love being able to give it to our entire family.
We actually moved to the city of Chicago one week ago and before the move and up until yesterday, we pretty much ate out for every single meal. Don't get me wrong, I seriously love eating out since someone else cooks it and cleans it up but it's not the healthiest and definitely not the most cost effective way to go about everyday life. We are finally up and running enough in our new place to where we braved Trader Joe's for the first time (and I thought our Louisville store was a madhouse, think again!) and stocked up on groceries for the week. First on my list were ingredients for this NingXia Red smoothie. When I began to pull the ingredients from the fridge today to prepare it, my 3 1/2 year old, Archie, got really excited and immediately grabbed his new kitchen stool to be my helper. So this little glass of goodness was a group effort and fun to give my kids before their nap times. I think I won mom of the week with this one. :-)
This smoothie is so packed with antioxidants and nothing artificial or fake so you can feel great knowing you are giving yourself and your family the best. Easy to whip up scores big in my book too. While I love my straight up NingXia Red, this was a fun way to make it a family activity and grab some extra nutrients and calories in this busy life we all lead these days. NingXia Red Smoothie
Makes 4 servings
1 pint blueberries
2 oz NingXia Red
6-8 oz orange juice
Toss all ingredients into your blender and blend away. Enjoy!!
