I'm excited to share with you about Purification, one of the first essential oils that impressed me with its effectiveness!
Purification is a blend of six oils: Citronella, Lemongrass, Rosemary, Tea Tree, Lavandin, and Myrtle. Many find Purification to have a refreshing and bright scent, and its name makes it easy to remember what this oil does purifies and cleanses, whether it be the air, odors, or skin!
When you are faced with musty smells, unwanted cooking odors, stinky pets, or anything else that makes your nose turn, diffuse Purification to keep the air smelling fresh and clean. Prevent or clear out odors from the trash can, diaper pail, or gym shoes by making a spray with Purification or by adding a few drops to a cotton ball placed near the offensive smell. You can also add a few drops to each laundry wash cycle to give it a scent boost or diffuse Purification when immune support is needed.
Purification can help keep your skin looking and feeling its best when you add a few drops to your moisturizer or use it as a spot treatment on problem areas. It can also be used in a spray or applied to the bottoms of your feet to enjoy the outdoors annoyance free. And when you get the inevitable "owie," Purification is a great oil to apply to help soothe your skin.
Purification became my best friend when we moved last summer. Our new home had been a rental property for over 15 years and welcomed us with a variety of smells from previous owners, pets, and habits. One particularly challenging area was our basement, where the walls and closets held onto a musty/cigarette smoke smell combo. I diffused Purification for a few days straight and became a believer in this powerful oil! It was able to neutralize (not just cover up) the unwanted smells and did so without toxins. Since then, Purification has been a go-to oil for my family, who is blessed with a lot of diapers, sweaty workout clothes, and mishaps.
Let's take a closer look at the ingredients in Purification that make it a cleansing powerhouse:
-Citronella is ideal for refreshing the air.
-Lemongrass is commonly used for purifying.
-Rosemary is known for its immune supporting properties.
-Tea Tree is often used in skin care for its cleansing properties.
-Lavandin soothes and supports the skin.
-Myrtle supports the respiratory system as well as healthy skin.
Lastly, I'll leave you with a favorite recipe of mine that uses Purification. This Lemon Purification Room Spray not only smells lovely, but it is a lifesaver in many ways. I keep it on the back of my toilet for a bathroom spray, but I've also used it in my car, on stuffed animals, rugs, blankets, and so on. It also makes a wonderful gift!
Lemon Purification Room Spray
4oz. spray Bottle
10 drops Young Living Lemon Oil
10 drops Young Living Purification Oil
pinch of epsom salt
Add the essential oils and epsom salt to the spray bottle, then fill the remainder with distilled water (leaving room for the spray nozzle). Screw on the nozzle, shake gently, and enjoy! Shake gently before each use.
I hope you love this practical, effective oil as much as I do!
