***Our Spring into Action blog will start on March 5th, followed by three more updates! So follow along each Monday.
“Spring into Action” and get moving!
We’re starting to thaw out (including last weeks snow ha!), and feeling able to fit in a brisk neighborhood walk, or taking lunch out at the park. Did you know that the Vitamin D from the sun is crucial to our immune system and our moods? So time to make room for getting outside!
This pursuit to a happier, healthier life with natural wellness includes more than just Essential Oils! Our bodies need to be moving, fed with whole clean foods, and have plenty of water.
Many of us struggle to find the time or energy, so let’s run through some ways we can expand our “fitness” activity:
- Ningxia Nitro + Zyng
Down these delicious drinks for a boost of sustaining energy levels! Just what you need to make it to the gym, or around the block.
- En-R-Gee + Grapefruit Essential Oils
I love both of these for their uplifting properties. Add En-R-Gee to the feet in the morning, and a drop of Grapefruit Vitality to your water and start moving (even if that means vacuuming the whole house)
- Lemon, Peppermint and Lavender Vitality Essential Oils
Add this Vitality trio to a capsule for respiratory and seasonal support while out at the park.
- Ortho Sport Massage oil OR Cool Azul Pain Cream
With all this working out, your muscles will need some love too!
- Owie, Lavaderm After Sun spray, Insect Repellant
Warmer weather means more skin exposure! These are a must have for the diaper bag and purse.
What products do you grab for when on the move? How are you going to get moving this week?
"Spring into Action" and Sherlock the Medicine Chest!
Don't worry, we're staying compliant here and not talking about first-aid or issues below the wellness line. With that said, when was the last time you actually looked through and investigated your medicine cabinet? A few years ago I went through mine and did some serious investigating! I started by throwing away anything that was expired or had toxic ingredients I was aware of. Did you know that this cabinet can be like a road map to finding body systems that could use support? Is there a trend in the OTC's (over the counter) or prescriptions you buy? What body systems do they reflect? What Vitality Essential Oils or Young Living supplements could help you maintain health in those areas?
We feel like we're doing a good thing for our bodies when we take supplements but just like everything else we buy, they are not all created equal. At sewer processing plants there are 1000's of pills and vitamins that float up to the surface that are clearly doing us no good. Most store bought supplements contain fillers, synthetics, and even heavy metals like lead.
Young Living applies their same over the top Essential Oil process to their supplements! Highest quality ingredients, the benefits of added Essential Oils, and they reformulate when science proves a better way!
Did you now your body will absorb more of the supplements nutrients just because it has Essential Oils in it? In 24 hours, your body absorbs about 46% of Supplements without Essential Oils. But with our Essential Oils infused supplements, there’s an absorption rate of 64% in 30 minutes, and up to 80% in the hour! (Test done with MulitGreens)
Here are our top picks to get started:
•Ningxia Red (duh. Whole body wellness in a delicious juice)
•Life 9 probiotic (17 billion live cultures from 9 beneficial bacteria strains!!)
•MultiGreens (Bee Pollen, Spirulina, Kelp, and oils like Melissa!)
•OmegaGize (supports normal brain, heart, eye, and joint health. Need!)
•Master Formula (It’s in the name, this pre package trio is full of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and much more)
What body system are you wanting to better support?
Beauty and Body, 3.12.18
Time to open up all those beauty cabinets!
Ok, so you've started integrating Essential Oils into your daily life, but maybe you are still relying on some old stand-bys in your bathroom? Open up those cabinets and pull out all of those products- have they expired? Do they have ingredients you know are unsafe? Look them up on EWG.org or the Think Dirty App. What we put on your body is quickly absorbed into the blood stream, in seconds!
Most makeup on the market is full of Talc, Parabens, Synthetic Fragrance, Phthalates, Dyes, and Petrochemicals. Europe has banned approx. 1,400 chemicals while the US has only banned 11….And we apply 5-20 products in a morning in just our makeup routine! Women are exposed to up to 3,000 chemicals alone before we leave for the day. Grab a pen and paper, and list out every product that touches your skin (lotion, shampoo, foundation, etc). Do the the same for everyone in the family.
Now you have an awesome starting point! One by one, start tossing them out and with a little bit of research, replace with a safe and easy DIY or Young Living product.
We love Young Living's shampoos and conditioners, soaps, KidScents line, shower gels, face wash, beard oil, moisturizers and more.

What beauty cabinet product are you going to swap first?
Spring is coming! Let's "Spring into Action", get the bad out, and allow more room for all the good things!
This week we’re talking about cleaning house on your cleaning products.
For most of us oilers, the journey started with our eyes being opened to toxins, so let's start there! So we know there are toxins in everything, right? They're in our air, our food, our water, even our carpets and mattresses. But most of us aren't as aware of the toxins lurking in every little bottle in every cabinet of our houses. But really, how is it possible that people are allowed to sell dangerous products to us and our families? Well, the Toxic Substance Control Act of 1976 grandfathered in over 100,000 untested chemicals as safe for human use. Many of those have since been banned around the world, so we have to do our own digging.
Ever seen the word "fragrance" on an ingredient list? There are over 3000 chemicals on the market that don't have to be disclosed except as "fragrance", and many of these are linked to a variety of serious health issues. Yikes! Many of us think we're doing better by buying "green" and "natural" products, but those labels don't have to disclose everything in the products either. So most end up being more expensive, many times less effective, and still just as harmful. This is what led us to learn about using essential oils to replace those toxic products, and to sign on to a company like Young Living: a company whose top priority is purity and transparency.
Young Living has given us an entire household line devoted to keeping your home toxin-free., made with plant based ingredients and infused with essential oils. Our Thieves Vitality blend is a our favorite for supporting our immune systems!
Our champion is the Thieves Household cleaner, just one capful in a spray bottle can replace so many cleaning products in your cabinets. I use it in every room of my house. One 14oz bottle give’s you up to 50 bottles of multi-purpose cleaner, making it very cost effective!
- Thieves Foaming hand soap
- Thieves Laundry soap, small but mighty.
- Citrus Fresh, give any DIY a great uplifting scent.
- Thieves Dish soap, don’t leave a toxic residue on your dishes!
Don’t forget to have Baking Soda, White Vinegar, Lemon essential oil, and Castile soap close by for recipes like carpet cleaner, stain remover, toilet bowl scrub and more.
Thieves scrub recipe:
3/4c baking soda
1/4c Castile soap
1.5 cap Thieves Household Cleaner
Mix together into a mason jar. Scrub your sinks, stove, tubs and so much more!
