Hi, I’m Tiffany! I am a wife, mother, registered nurse, Essential Oil lover, and follower of Jesus. Some of my favorite topics in life are holistic and preventive health. I especially enjoy learning about how our environments affect our health and what we can control in them to maintain optimal wellness. The more I learn, the more blown away I become at God’s amazing design of our bodies and His gift of Essential Oils to help support our different body systems.
My formal training as a nurse did not prepare me for this journey of wellness, but rather how to react to disease. In 2014, my focus on health shifted after my mother-in-law gave me a book that she co-authored. It spoke of ways to promote overall wellness and hormone balance. Just prior to her gift, I had a miscarriage after a long battle with infertility and I latched onto the book desperate for answers that I hoped and prayed would lead me to a healthy pregnancy one day. I became keenly aware of the enormous amount of toxins we are exposed to on a daily basis and how they can interrupt our body’s normal functions. I was shocked and overwhelmed, but at the same time my nurse mind began to rewire and yearn for answers. Along the way, I have learned a few things and I am excited to share some of them with you!
Today I want to look at Energy and Daily Balance.
Number one in this area is NingXia Red. This is a “whole-body” supplement that my entire family uses daily. If I had to forgo every other Young Living product, NingXia Red would remain. It is well-known for its large amounts of wolfberry, which is high in antioxidants (just look up how amazing these are!). I became a believer of its profound impact on my life during my most recent pregnancy. Prior to pregnancy on NingXia I felt good, but it was not an overwhelming difference versus when I was not taking the supplement. However, during pregnancy I began to track how I felt more closely. There was a significant increase in my energy levels and overall wellness on the days I remembered the drink. Now, because of this experience from pregnancy I am a firm believer that NingXia Red should be part of everyone’s life, even if you only notice subtle changes at first. Your body will use this drink in ways you may never realize to help maintain your overall wellness.
Next up is Joy. I must admit I was repulsed by Joy when I first smelled it. In January, as part of a month long emotional health challenge, I pulled it out from the back row of my oils and popped a roller fitment on a 5-ml bottle. It was on their recommendation list and I had it on hand, so I gave it another try. I now wear this uplifting and balancing scent daily as a perfume directly on the skin or applied to a diffuser necklace. I continue to smell Joy long after it is applied and I now love to catch a whiff of it throughout my day. It is also amazing that a 5ml bottle goes a long way, because it contains some of the priciest and most sought after oils in the world (ok maybe just my world), like Rose and Jasmine. Mix in a little orange essential oil for an added lift!
Have you tried Valor or Valor II? This is another gem that I had in my back row of oils until recently. Everyone was always talking about how they could not live without this one, but I just was not seeing it. So, I did some reading and found some trusted testimonies and decided I would give it a try as my “go-to” oil at work. Every weekend I am in charge of a 32-bed Intensive Care and Open Heart Recovery Unit. Stressful situations and jobs are sometimes unavoidable, but supporting your body so that a natural healthy stress response occurs is actually possible. Valor helps me achieve this by helping me make focused, calm and confident decisions in stressful situations.
This area of balance and health is so important. Finding what works for you and your individual chemistry may be a challenge, but don’t give up! If you can get this area of your health in top shape, I firmly believe all of the other areas will come along more smoothly. Want to learn more about how to get started with Young Living? Click here.
